This CLE program will provide legal professionals—including attorneys, paralegals, and litigation support staff—with an in-depth look at how generative AI is transforming the litigation workflow. Using the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) as a framework, the session will break down each phase of litigation, demonstrating how AI-driven tools enhance efficiency, accuracy, and strategic decision-making at every step.
The program will feature practical demonstrations of AI-assisted workflows, including:
• Identification: Using AI to analyze initial pleadings and key documents to generate a cast of characters and relevant entities.
• Collection & Review: How generative AI and modern analytics tools streamline document review, including platforms like Everlaw and AI-driven email threading.
• Witness Interviews & Investigations: Leveraging AI-powered tools like Fathom to record, transcribe, and extract key insights from witness interviews.
• Trial Preparation: The role of generative AI in organizing case strategy, summarizing depositions, and facilitating dynamic trial presentations.
• Analytics & Case Strategy: Comparing traditional analytics (TAR, CAL) with AI-driven reasoning-based analysis to uncover insights faster.
The session will also explore real-world case studies of firms already leveraging AI to empower their legal teams, with a particular focus on how paralegals are leading the adoption of these technologies within their organizations.
