"Building The Perfect Paralegal"

Laura Palazzolo

Ms. Palazzolo began her legal work 25 years ago as a trial attorney in a solo bankruptcy and family law practice where she served as receptionist, legal secretary, paralegal, and the only associate, all at the same time. 

She spent the majority of her career at a large Silicon Valley firm where she was part of a multi-office team of paralegals and support staff.  During that time, she was also a law school professor (teaching Civil Procedure, Real Property, Bankruptcy, Legal Writing, and Torts) and ultimately served as the Dean of her alma mater from 2016-2023.Ms. Palazzolo is excited to now lead the Paralegal program at Remington College, where she will continue on her mission to make learning law fun. 

Program Description:

An interactive discussion about legal education and how it can best be used to build the “perfect paralegal” – the kind you want to work alongside, and what you aspire to be.  Ms. Palazzolo will talk about new educational tools and methods, will poll the group about what skills and abilities are most important for new paralegals in the workplace, and will seek input on the best ways to help mid-career paralegals gain additional skills and certifications to ramp up their earning power, and prepare them for next level achievements.
