This year, DAPA celebrates its 45th Anniversary! Please join us as we celebrate our legacy, members, and profession. DAPA Awards will be presented and Committee / Section Chairs will be recognized. The 2022 Board of Directors will be also be sworn in by Justice Erin Nowell, and there will be several drawings for prizes provided by our generous Sustaining Members. DAPA will additionally provide information regarding the 2022 Charity of the Year - CASA!
Justice Erin Nowell serves on the Fifth District Court of Appeals, Place 5, an appellate court that reviews criminal, civil and family cases from Dallas, Collin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman and Rockwall counties. She was first elected in 2018 to a six-year term.
As an attorney, Justice Nowell was selected as a Texas Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2015-2017. She was also named one of the National Bar Association's Top 40 Advocates Under 40, and was honored with the 2018 Texas Women Lawyers Brenda Two Rising Young Lawyer Award.
Justice Nowell is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the University of Texas School of Law. She is active in numerous professional organizations and the community.
