Speaker Bio

Dr. DeGaetano is a graduate of Parker Chiropractic College. He accumulated additional post-graduate training in Neurology, Whiplash and Brain Traumatology and is certified in Colossus and was certified with the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians by the American Medical Association, in 2003.

Dr. DeGaetano is the owner of Cutting-Edge Orthopedics at Plano Surgical Hospital in Dallas. The practice offers injury care from emergency, interventional pain management, orthopedic spine surgery, orthopedic extremity, neurology, traumatic brain injury/concussion evaluations and forensic psychology.

Dr. DeGaetano’s areas of expertise involve a series of topic areas including: Whiplash and Brain Trauma; biomechanics of spine trauma; soft tissue injury and repair; pain and proprioceptive neurology; and the management of spine and spinal related disorders.

Dr. DeGaetano created Personal Injury Institute (PII) which offers over 20 different training modules created for providers, law firms and their staff. He is respected in the legal community for his ability to bring complex anatomical and physiological factors into perspective with case management decision- making and documentation in personal injury and other areas of practice.

The management of trauma cases has become more sophisticated; the presentation of cases has never been more challenging, and he has made this process of learning easier and more intuitive. These courses are designed to help law firms and medical practices understand the trauma patient from both, a clinical and the medical-legal-insurance perspective.

CLE:  1.0 hour of general paralegal CLE credit issued through DAPA.
